Yacht Club Membership

Our History

The Wexford Plantation Yacht Club is an independent corporation within Wexford Plantation. It exists primarily for the purpose of managing the boat slips in the Marina area adjacent to the Wexford Plantation Clubhouse. Marina slips exist for those members of Wexford who do not own harbourside properties. Membership is limited to Wexford Plantation Property Owners. Membership in the Yacht Club entitles the Wexford Plantation Property Owner to the use of the boat slip assigned to that membership.

Our Management

The Yacht Club is managed by an independent Board of Directors elected by the members of the Yacht Club. The Board is responsible for setting and collecting the annual dues, arranging insurance, maintaining appropriate relationships with the Board of the Wexford Plantation Homeowners Associate (WHOA), providing ex-officio members to the Harbour Committee, and making recommendations to the Harbour Committee as to who might serve as Flag Officers (Commodore, Vice Commodore, etc.,) for the Plantation.

Membership Restricted

Membership in the Wexford Plantation Yacht Club is restricted to Wexford Plantation Property Owners. If a plantation Member sells his Wexford Property and no longer owns a Lot or Dwelling, then the Member will be required to surrender his Yacht Club Membership.

Membership Rights

A member of the Yacht Club is subject to all rights, covenants, easements and restrictions as contained in the original development declaration. The membership grants to the owner exclusive use of the assigned slip as long as the owner and boat-owner follows all rules and Harbour regulations.

Membership Transfer

Membership is obtained when a slip is transfered to the new owner in accordance with the Covenants and Bylaws of Wexford Yacht Club. Transfers require approval of the Yacht Club Board. A licensed SC Realestate agent is permitted to list a membership slip for sale.
